Teal~ish LOTD using Makeup Forever Aqua shadow pencils

By everbluec · June 21, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

It's been awhile since my last LOTD... this time, I'm going to use JUST Make Up For Ever Aqua Shadows to create a simple Eye's look. (Without setting it with eyeshadows).

The aqua shadow feel really smooth and soft during application, easy to blend out with Q-tips, blending brush or finger. Really a fuss free and fast item to use if in a rush!!

My folds (double eyelid's fold) are really thick, the skin rubbing each others when I blink causes the shadow to creases abit.. but it's not really that visible. The crease would be gone if I use a good primer (Makeup Forever Eye prime is good enough to prevent creasing on any eyeshadows.)

I do enjoying using these Aqua Shadow pencils... was thinking about getting the matte grey or maybe the coppery one.

I donno why I look so "red" in this shot!!!!

Much better with flash ~ But the teal look abit wash off.....  (my face look so chubby in all the shots!!)

Inspired by the brand's previous Paris-Bombay fashion collection, the collection brings to the makeup scene the mesmerizing beauty of glowing gold pigments that illuminate instantly the complexion to create a natural, glowing skin look that exudes glamor and youthfulness.

To complete the style of the collection Chanel introduced a new shimmery black eyeshadow powder which you can use to give your eyes a mysterious, seductive allure.

Chanel Poudre Compacte
Give skin a natural translucent finish with the help of this fabulous, lightweight texture compact powder that features fine light-reflecting pigments which create a 'halo-like' look. The powder can be used over makeup or on bare skin, depending on personal preference and the result will be more than flattering either way.

Joues Contraste Powder Blush
The silky texture of the blush provides buildable coverage while the warm gold coloration will help illuminate your cheeks to perfection, creating a youthful-vibe look.

Illusion d'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow
Sultry eyes are a definite must have when it comes to Indian makeup thus the collection couldn't have avoided the inclusion of a marvelous intensely shimmering, long lasting eyeshadow that can accentuate the eyes to perfection in an instant. The new shimmer black shade of Illusion d'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow titled Nirvana will make your eyes pop, so use it to subtly line the eyes or make them pop by covering the entire eyelid with this innovative gel texture eyeshadow.

Rouge Coco Shine
Chanel's new Empreinte lipstick that provides a nude, natural coloration to your lips and an intense mosturizing shine that compliments all skin tones.

Le Vernis

Collection Byzance de Chanel : Rouge Blush

    By everbluec · July 5, 2011 · 7 Comments ·

I've seen swatches of "Rouge", read blogs that rave about it (epecially Kas and Joey) and I never really thought about getting it... cos it just look too RED!

2 days ago, pop by the counter at Takashimaya(Singapore) with Verlyn, even when she swatched it "live" in front of me, I still think it's was too red for my liking................................................. until the BA do a light brushing(using the blush brush provided) of "Rouge" on her arm and ................ "I'm in LOVE"

Trying to be sensible... I didn't buy it on the spot... anyway, I gave in and bought it on the next day(which is yesterday).

Click on the ingredients list pic(below) to enlarge it...

Close up... (Cos of my lighting, it appear more reddish.. but the tone is about the same...)

Then the one taken without flash ... look really close to the actual shade in the pan.

Swatches.... (Left: Blended out with a brush / Right: Swatch with my finger)

When I saw the Rouge at the counter, it reminds me of MAC Style demon, so I tweeted Kas asking her whether it's a dupe... nope.... else, I would have saved D$65! (lolx)

Left: MAC style Demon / Right: Chanel Rouge

MAC style demon are less reddish as compare to Chanel Rouge.. it appear to be more peaches and the glitters are also abit more chunky(not that it feel chunky.. style demon was pretty smooth too)..

Chanel Rouge look more like strawberry reddish with gold sheen (with super fine gold glitters)

    Swatches...

Pics don't do justice on how pretty "Rouge" look when swatched on fair skin... You have to check it out in person to be WOW by it. Just pop by Takashimaya or Isetan Chanel Counters to check it out.(Centerpoint - Chanel Counter don't have this collection)

Disclaimer: All places mentioned above are base in Singapore.
