{LOTD} Maybelline HyperCosmos duo eyeshadow in WN-1

By everbluec · October 29, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

Another LOTD (eye makeup) created using the Maybelline HyperCosmos duo eyeshadow..

I find them very easy to use and both shades works really well with each others. Oh and when both shades mixed together, it become another shade!! (So I got 3 shades in this duo eyeshadow ^_^)

Swatches....

The color placement is the same as what I always do... nothing too fancy or wild... just a simple layering and smoked it out (Just blend blend blend ^_^)

The brownish gold on the lid... Plum on the outer corner and blend into my lash line (mix both shade together and apply+blend into my crease)... use a skinshade eyeshadow or pressed foundation/powder under the brows(clean-up+highlight the area)

Apply the plum on lower outer lash line and brownish gold on the inner lash line. (That's all ^_^ )

Do keep in mind that the Goldish brown shade on the right was super glittery (fall out alert!!!)

Refreshing hydration line containing natural ingredients with 5 free system and premium oxygen water.
E'thym helps your skin look younger and well-moisturized.

  • Paraben-free
  • Benzophenone-free
  • Artificial colorant-free
  • Animal origin ingredient-free and premium oxygen water.

  • A lipidic complex made of Shea Butter and Coconut Butter strengthens skin’s moisture barrier and provides sufficient nutrition.

Ingredients list...

This cream does contain alcohol and fragrance - But this doesn't cause any irritation or dryness on my normal to oily combination skin.

Luckily, my dry skin phase was over and so far so good, no tightness or flakey skin. (Yeah!! "Dance around waving my hand in the air".]

Only left about 1/3 of the products after using it everyday for almost a month.

A gel cream moisturizer - very moist gel cream texture.

[Note : I put too much on the back of my hand - took some off and apply on my neck (not wasting any product).]

The Face Shop E'thym O2 Water Aura Cream feel very moist and somewhat creamy... easy to spread out on the skin without dragging the skin.

Normally I will spread it out on my finger tips (I take about 20cent size amount) and pat it onto my skin. Focusing on my drier areas first [skin between my nose and cheek, forehead (cos I have some fine lines there...) and upper cheeks] and slowly patting it all over my face and down to my neck.

The cream feel very smooth (feels abit oily) and it's good for massaging (if you want).

I use this cream twice aday [day and night], I used less amount in the day.

  • The gel cream doesn't feel sticky
  • Not oily once it absorbed
Once the cream absorbed, skin feel velvety smooth.
  • Skin doesn't look oily or have any shine once the cream absorbed.
  • The gel cream feel pretty light weight.
  • Skin doesn't feel stuffy when applying the cream
  • Moisturizing
  • Doesn't cause any stinging/burning sensation on my face(especially on dry areas)!!!
  • Doesn't cause any irritation nor breaking out.
  • Skin feel supple
  • Very soothing
  • Skin does look brighter after applying the cream
  • Have a mild and soft refreshing scent (soft and mild grapefruit scent)
  • Keep my skin hydrated thru out the night (sleeping in Air-con room)

During the first week of using the The Face Shop E'thym O2 Water Aura Cream, I didn't feel any WOW factor, it's just feel like a very moisturizing cream moisturizer. It hydrate my skin very well, even in air-con room... and not too heavy for normal to combination skin.

BUT... on the 2nd weeks, my skin start to feel really smooth [Have been using this cream for almost 4 weeks].  I like that the cream smooth out the skin texture. And it does maintain the smoothness.

When I rinse my face the next day, I can feel a layer of moisturizer on my face. The cream does leave a protective layer on the skin surface to prevent skin from drying.

:

I do take beauty supplement, always on collagen drinks, or any other form of "beauty" fruits, foods, pills or detox supplement. All these just enhance the skincares products that I'm using.

I think everyone need to take care of their skin from inside and out for the radiance glow and healthy skin+body.

This is a good hydrating moisturizer for normal to combination skin [cos my skin tend to feel dry and tight sometimes.]

For dry skin, If you think that this is not moisturizing enough, you can add on serum/essence to enhance the hydratiion level.

As for oily skin - if you think that "cream" tend to be too rich. You can try their lotion (which is in a bottle packaging)... more light as compare to the gel cream.

[Note: I did not try the lotion nor essence before, this is just a suggestion]

By the way, my sister is using the E'thym Collagen water moisture lotion and Toner (Liking it so far) Let me know if you want a review, I can ask my sister to do it (She have oily combination skin and her skin only agree with Korean Skincares).

Price : SD$22.90 [If I didn't remember wrongly]
I got this during the GSS 20% + 5%(for members)

Suitable for all skin types.

[LOTD] ansley New York - Pure Pop superstar eyeshadow & Gel eyeliner

By everbluec · March 4, 2012 · 4 Comments ·

OK, so this is a normal LOTD ^__^

A LOTD using the ansley New York - Pure Pop superstar eyeshadow & Gel eyeliner in Silky Browny Smokey.

This was one of the item in the February 2012 Bellabox

The pigmentation of the brown shadow was pretty average, not so pigmentated that I look like I've got a "punch" in the eyes look. The shadow feel smooth, abit powdery(when using a brush), easy to blend and the pigmentation was quite buildable (The swatches below was about 3 swipes).

Lolx... I look like a mad woman!

Swaches (Left-without flash)(Right- with flash)

(Left- with flash)(Right - without flash)

Both are said to be makeup with high percentage of skin care properties that actually show results after 4 weeks of continuously using.

I'm not good and using the "same" products for along period of time continuously, because I tend to switch around.

I have been using different primers with the fluid foundation and setting powders. (Trying to find the best combination that I like).

>>>>><<<<<<<>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<

My own personal preference: I prefer sheer and moist foundation with dewy finishing.

Guerlain Blance de Perle Foundation, is buildable.. so I only use a pump of foundation on my whole face. So it gives a sheer coverage. I'll apply a 2nd layer on areas that need more coverage.(Double it as concealer)

The foundation blend into my skin nicely with (I think)velvety finishing. It abit hard to describle..because when I look upclose, the finishing look semi matte... but from a distance it have this nice dewy glow.

I like the texture of the foundation... but sadly the shade when applied on my skin, it turn abit warm, which kinda make my face look "tan"...  I have really pinky cheeks... "tan" finishing will make my face look dark as compare to my whole body!  And this is the lightest shade they have :(

I did try to mix in with brightening primer nor white corrector...
it does help in lightening the shade but it changes the texture of the foundation! :(

>> Buildable coverage from sheer to full.
>> it does minimize the pores
>> Moisturizing
(Lately, my skin are in a horrible "dry state" and it's got abit worse after I came back from KL- Hai~)
>> Doesn't cause any skin irritation nor break-outs
>> It's feel lightweight on the skin
>> Skin feel soft and supple even after wearing it for more then 7hrs (I like)
>> After afew hours, my face still look fresh and dewy (From semi matte to dewy finishing)
>> oil control was quite decent (I means focusing on my nose) cos I dont find the need to use tissue.
I have oily T-zone, but it only feel oily and doesn't give much shine on normal day basis (I hardly use blotting paper to blot my face - except using tissue to lightly dap on my nose once awhile.)

Normally, after apply any cream/liquid base products, I will use a piece of tissue to dap off the excess serum (I will let the foundation to sit/set on my skin for about 1-2mins before I dap off the excess). As for this foundation, it does transfer some of the pigment over to the tissue paper. (meaning - this foundation is not waterproof or transfer proof.)

Follow by applying Guerlain Compact foundation (I used a face brush - mix both the highligh and foundation together) and lighty apply on my whole face.

The texture of the compact foundation was finely milled - feel more like a setting pressed powder than foundation.

>> It did not add on more color when using a brush to set the liquid foundation
>> further blur out the pores and skin texture (GOOD!)
>> Skin feel silky smooth (I really like it)
>> Doesn't look cakey nor patchy
>> Can be use for touching up and powder wont clogged into the pores not make skin look patchy and thick.

I used this powder foundation together with my other bbcreams and liquid foundation and it work well too!!!

This pic doesn't say much, as the sunlight was pretty strong that day when I took this pic! (lolx)

Can see abit of dryness around my upper cheek and under eyes (I hate having dry, tight and painful skin!!!) But this foundation doesn't further enhance the dry flasky skin.

TheFaceShop skincares

By everbluec · December 1, 2011 · 5 Comments ·

[My sister haul and a little goodie for me ^__^]

Today, my sister show me the stuff she bought at TheFaceShop and she spent $300+ (OMY.. On Faceshop!!!!!!! She can get counter brands stuff with that amount!!!! Oh well... she only like "Korean" brand skincares.)... and that was after 10% discount for card members.

Initially.. she only got this set of 3... but the SA just can't stop talking(according to my sis.. and she got lost half way... lolx...)

TheFaceShop Su Hyang Snow intensifying essence, Balancing Fluid(moisturizer) and maximizing gel cream (This set sound wondering!)

Ingredients list... [Click to enlarge]

TheFaceShop Flebote Hydra soft Cleansing foam

Ingredients list..

TheFaceShop Marine Stem cell - cell revive mist toner

Ingredients list...

TheFaceShop Raspberry Roots Sleeping mask

Ingredients list...

TheFaceShop Flebeaute White crystal Diamond Peeling

There wasn't any "english" ingredients list on the packaging!

TheFaceShop Raspberry ROOTS Collagen Eye Patch

Ingredients list...

TheFaceShop Natural Sun SPF 50 PA+++ Sis gave this to me ^_~
(Yeah!! Beside eyecream, cleansing water, cleansing oil.. I love trying different sunblock/screen)

Ingredients list..

TheBodyShop Wise Woman eye cream (The price increased again!!! $3 extra!!! Luckily they are having 20% off (promotion end on 11th Dec 2011)

I still can't find a good soothing eyecream as compare to this (the closer one are the discountined Skin79 Oriental eye gel and Avalon Firm &Lift eyecream)

I know wisewoman is not the best "moisturizing" eyecream that will reduce fine lines or dark circles... but it soothe my itchy eyelids.. and I need soothing eyecream.. else I will have red and swollen eyelid :(

I guess this work well cos of a list of soothing ingredients... (Which Avalon Firm and Lift eyecream also contains - but it was not as moisturizing!)

Ingredients list...

If you all came across any soothing eyecream which contain - Aloe, Soy, Root extract or any "teas" ... let me know ^_^

(As for the prices of the above mentioned products.. I will update again once I asked my sis.)
