The gold shimmers wasn't that obvious on the lips.. but when look closer you can see a tiny bit of it. [Click to enlarge]

The texture and feel on the Honey Lemon Moisturizing Lip Gel

  • The consistency of the lipgel is pretty thick and abit sticky (feel like a thick lipgloss)
  • Quite moisturizing (work well in air-con room.)
I only used this as overnight treatment
  • lips feel moist and supple the next day
  • Quite soothing and does ease irritaton lips
  • I didn't experiences any cracked lips before I start using this lipgel, so I got no say on how well it will be on "cracked/chapped lips"
  • Has a soft sweet scent (honey lemon scent)
  • When apply on the lips, it does have a glossy finishing (refer to above lip swatch)
  • Doesn't feel oily (Well, guess the thickness/stickyness cover the oily feel)

I still prefer the Mentholatum Medicated Lip Gels (review) because it's feel abit more moisturizing, lightweight, non sticky(though it feels abit oily) and more long lasting.... as compare to this Honey Lemon Moisturizing Lip gel.

The feels and texture of the Mentholatum Lip Pure Lip Balm...

  • The lip balm feel moist and abit oily
  • Pretty lightweight (feel lights on the skin)
  • Not sticky at all
  • Doesn't have the waxy lip balm feel/texture
  • Quite moisturizing
  • Doesn't work quite well as overnight lipbalm cos it absorbed into the lip quite fast. I need something more lasting.
  • lips does feel moist and supple
  • Same as the lipgel, the lipbalm feels quite soothing and does ease irritaton lips
  • When apply on the lips, it has a soft moist look (doesn't look shiny nor glossy)

My thoughts on both the Mentholatum Organic Certified Lipbalms

  • Both Raspberry & Strawberry and Lavender & Orange flavours lip balms feel quite the same on the lips.
  • Doesn't feel sticky nor thick waxy type of feel (texture)
  • The scent wasn't too overpowering
  • Lip balm doesn't have much of a taste , just taste like normal tasteless lip balm
  • light weight
  • Give the right amount of moisture for the lips
  • Prevent lips from getting tight and dry
  • Doesn't last as long as those thick waxy lip balm that was meant for "crack lips"
  • lips doesn't feel dry or the need to reapply after the lip balm wore off
  • Feel like I apply a layer of silky soothing oil on the lip.
The oil doesn't really feel like oily type of oil... more like those creamy lotion type of greasy feel. Feel rather similar to liquid lip balm (you know those roller type, but not as watery)
  • Both have soothing not too strong scents.
  • I haven't have "cracked" lips for awhile now... so I can't say much whether it will heal and soothe crack bleeding lips.
(Will edit that in, if I have cracked lips)

I normally use lipbalm as an overnight treatment... so my review was base on that. I sleep in AC room and I use my mouth to breath MOST of the time, so my lips tend to crack, peel and become super tight easily.

Me mee meeeee

I'm base in Singapore and blog about beauty on this blog.

I do have a random blog.. I blog nonsense over there that wasn't meant for entertaining (cos it might be too boring! kekekekee...)

I love my family, my dogs, my friends, animals, colors, makeup, skincares, DIY shows, fashion ,makeup, TV dramas and movies, music, singing (just saying sentences out with abit of off pitch rhythm! lolx), swimming (if I wasn't lazy, I might be a swimmer when I'm young), walking (that my 2nd fave "sport"), photography, art, drawing and collecting hobbies....

If you wanna send me stuff (email me) I love receiving letters (gifts maybe)... it's nice reading comments and emails JUST for me ^_^
