Random beauty's talks

Random online purchased

By everbluec · April 5, 2012 · 4 Comments ·

I haven't been hauling much (Ahem* that's what I like to think so) and I hardly blog about the stuff I got... Well, I still do but very selective~ lolx

Anyway, recently... I joined a drugstore spree (when they are having 20% off) and Ming(miwitch) tag along too :b

Foundations and brushes that we can't get in Singapore! [Not all are mine... half of them belong to Ming]

I ordered 3 foundations... Check out the shades.. this are all their lightest shade and Instant Age rewind look so pinkish and abit dark from the bottle (I tried it, and it's abit warm.. but doesn't make me look like a lobster)

Maybelline FIT ME is a perfect match.. but the coverage was so sheer that I don't feel like I was applying anything.. but I do like the dewy finishing and it does even out my complexion.

I havent try the Loreal Magic smooth souffle yet...

The sponge can be remove (I didn't use that.. lolx.. I just turn and click out the foundation from the tube)

Got some brushes too... all feel sooooooooooo soft! <3

These kabuki are abit smaller then I've imagined.. but not too tiny like baby kabuki la...

I got these 3 item recently (I will do a seperate swatch post on the UD Naked2)

I did got some Lancome, Ettusais, Rachel K CC cream (those were part of my last year's Christmas presents) and some random makeup item from my sisters.

Most of the time, I just buy random skincare products (especially facial spa water mist), cleansing water, cleansing oil and re-purchase of shampoo, moisturizer and other random body lotions. (Not so exciting... )

So do you all have any impulse hauling???

The Loreal New Revita Lift White that fight 15 Signs of Ageing

By everbluec · September 8, 2011 · 0 Comments ·

Weeks ago attended the L'oreal Exclusive Preview event of the New Revita Lift White L'oreal academiel @ Keypoint centre.

Back to the products.. The orginal RevitaLift have been miss-understood by alot of youngsters thinking that it was meant for mature skin (Just because Gong Li endose the range!) So for this new range "RevitaLife White" L'oreal invited Hebe(a mid-twenties singer) from S.H.E. to endose the products, so that L'oreal can reach out to younger users.

For any products they said it will help prevent "whitening, aging, wrinkles or pigmentation" ... these products have to start using before the signs are showing or after the 1st sign... NOT until we are in the "mature" age. By then it's not "preventing".... it will be "slowing down" the aging or darkening process and whatever was there will remain on the skin.

Loreal New Revita Lift White is an all-in-one product that fight 15 signs of aging.

Based on 40 women who used Revitalift White Day Cream SPF 18 for eight weeks.
-> 100% saw reduction in fine lines
-> 93% saw a clearer complexion and fairer skin

I haven't start using this range yet.... cos I'm still in the amidst of trying out some skincares. (So this is not a reviewing entry) Just abit of my first impression of the texture of both products..

Close up on the essence texture...

The essence feel moist and it absorb nicely into the skin(in this case.. the skin refer to the skin on the back of my hand).. it does feel abit greasy at first.. but after the essence absorbed, I don't feel anything greasy nor sticky but it does have the wet feel.

Close up on the day cream texture...

Just like what you see on the above pic... It's a semi thick creamy cream(not gel like type of cream). A tiny amount is good enough to spread up to my forearm and it does feel abit oily and took awhile to absorb (Note: I have very dry forearms.) but after afew minutes when the cream was fully absorbed. Skin feel smooth and doesn't feel sticky. More like a body lotion type of finishing.

Not sure how both products will feel on the face... but on my experiences, the day cream "might" be abit "rich"(oily) for everyday use on my combination skin. (When I try this, I will rotate it with my normal moisturizer, until I'm sure that it wasn't too rich for my face then I will slowly switch out my normal moisturizer.)

RevitaLift White already launched at various L'oreal counters. If interested, go swatch the products yourself to decide whether you will like it or not.

Some pics with the ladies.... Aiya... where's Tiphanie?!?!?!

The products for me to try :)

Head over to L'oreal Singapore Facebook Page for more details on the promotion.

Thanks L'oreal Singapore and Tiphanie for the invitation :)

LOTD: Bronze

By everbluec · April 19, 2011 · 7 Comments ·

I'm loving the Heroine make Impact frame & Curl Mascara that I got in HK(all thanks to Ming for CP~ing for me). It's very pigmented, thicken my lashes and gave abit of length(GOOD).. but it not as easy to remove compare to their older range mascaras(which is the maroon tube one). (Just remove it like you will with waterproof mascara like Majolica Majorca)

Products used::

Elizabeth Arden White Glove Extreme UV protector
Shu uemura IV under Base mousse in PINK
MAC Prep + Primer Vibrancy Eye (On under eyes after UV base before foundation)
Clarins Everlasting foundation in 101 Alabaster
L'egere BB powder to set(it skipable step, cos the Clarins foundation have a nice silky finishing- doesn't feel sticky or wet at all!)
MAC PINK Cult blush
Gransenbon Grand Decollete Luxury finishing powders (Shade 2)(cheek's highlight)

[[Products in blue font were provided by the company]]

MAC Let me pop paintpot as lid's color

By everbluec · April 7, 2011 · 2 Comments ·

As the subject title said.. this is a simple look using Sleek Paraguaya palette.

-> Blush NARS Gina + Melliesh shade 02
-> Gransenbon Grand Decollete Luxury finishing powders (Shade 2) (click click for swatches and other 2shades)

When I mix NARS Gina and Melliesh it become this pretty coral pinky shade <3<3<3

-> Heavy Rotation black gel liner, set it with sleek Stone(to make it less hush) and also on tightlight
-> L'oreal HIP liner in Gold Charge on waterlines.
-> KATE brow's mascara (I just wanna lighten the brows.. so I didn't fill in my brows)
-> KATE Mascara base + Anna Sui Dolly Girl Full mascara

On my lips is Shu uemura PK 341

[Products in blue font were provided by the company]

I'm giving KATE mascara base another chance cos Verlyn told me it work pretty good on her... I was thinking it's either the base work well with their own mascara(kate mascara) or the mascara that she use are pretty good in the first place :b becos, this time.. I still feel no different, just an extra applying step(lolx)

Do you see any different? compared to my usual mascara-ed lashes?

I just changed my nail's color - GR602 from Nature Republic(I just got it yesterday)

Sharing: Promotion of L'oreal True Match Foundation

By everbluec · February 17, 2011 · 0 Comments ·

Last Sunday, pop by ALT @ Hereen with Ming(miwitch.onsugar.com) and saw that L'oreal having 20% off... I got the L'oreal True Match liquid foundation for my sister. Because it's her fave foundation and she use it almost everyday.. (Well, she only like this and nothing else! lolx)

So I bought it and we pop over to Watsons @ NAC.. though they don't have any discount for L'oreal.... BUT, I saw a promotion tag saying.. SD$8 off for L'oreal True Match Foundation "ONLY"... Oh My!!! It's way cheaper then 20% off.

If you going to get this foundation... I say check out Watsons first!

By the way, I think ALT @ Hereen already Closed(?!?!) Check out Iris post on ALT promotion:: http://rougedeluxe.blogspot.com/2011/02/alt-heeren-clearance-sale.html(?!?)

Not going to do a haul post cos.. most of the stuff I got on Sunday were backup of the stuff I already have! lolx

Anyway, do share with me on promotion that I might miss out! (I notice that sometimes OG do have great discounts.. like Bourjois having 30% off... not sure the promotion is still going on. But it's like extra 10% off compare to Watsons/SASA)

Primer/base -> Lancome La Base primer

LOTD mistletoe + Review on Dr Jart+ Premium Bbcream

By everbluec · January 7, 2011 · 16 Comments ·

I'm trying out the Sleek Sparkle i-Divine palette.. only using one shade (mistletoe) on as all over lid's color(with skintone eyeshadow for brow's highlight) + reviewing on the  Dr Jart+ Premium Bbcream.

Sleek sparkle palette eyeshadow was more chalky/powdery.. cos it was matte shadow mix with glitters. (The pigmentation wasn't very sheer.. and it's buildable and the glitters wasn't that huge or crazy! lolx)

First: A pic of my bare face(after applying skincares + sunblock)

With  Dr Jart+ Premium Bbcream

With makeup...

with flash

With flash... the mistletoe eyeshadow have green glitters(but it didnt capture well on the camera)

need some color on my lips... using MAC Ever Hip lipstick.

Aiyo.. my only open eyes smile shot was blurrrrr -_-"

Products used:

-> Rojukiss Protox Sunblock SPF50 PA+++
-> Dr Jart+ Premium Bbcream
-> SANA Natural Resource Loose Powder UV (SPF19 PA++)
-> MAC Ripe Peach Ombre Blush

-> BeautyMarker primer concealer (Good for even out the eyelids color- doesn't work well as a base)
-> Sleek Sparkle i-Divine palette: using Mistletoe on the lids and blend up/outwards
-> MAC brule as brow's highlight
-> Kiss Me Mascara (My mascara is getting more and more dry.. time to open new one! Yeah!! lolx)
-> L'oreal HIP blackshock eyeliner

Products in blue font are given by the company for trying/reviewing.

Review on the Dr Jart+ bbcream
-Lightweight
-Blend well onto the skin
-Doesn't cause any breakout
-very moisturizing
-not cakey or patchy after few hrs of wearing
-Last around 4-6hrs.. I see it start to wear off(but if I apply pressed foundation on top... it last quite long!)
-even out skintones, pretty average coverage
-average oil control.. I dont see any shine on my nose after afew hrs of wearing
-dewy finishing

I like this bbcream.. it feels good on my skin and best of all.. I like that it was moisturizing, but doesn't feel too watery, thick, sticky or oily (Just nice). And it come with good SPF! If only it have more coverage (well.. not asking for more.. cos more coverage would make the bbcream much thicker...)

LOTD: Purple! (yes.. Purple)

By everbluec · January 2, 2011 · 10 Comments ·

I did 2 lotds(with pics) during the last 2 weeks of 2010 (I keep forgetting about it! lolx). So this is a purple eye look I did on 23 Dec. (Another one coming up soon)

OK.. let start off with bare face(with skincares+sunblock)

With bio-essence Aqua bbcream

The bbcream was very moisturizing...  have a wet finishing(need more time for the cream to fully absorb) and same with the rest of the Bio-essence bbcream, I can feel the thickness of the cream on my face even after I set it with powder(it just feel abit thick for my liking.. but Aqua bbcream was the lightest amoung the 3 bbcreams I've received.)

Average oil-control. No breaking out from a week of using the bbcream.

Does even out uneven skintone, minimize pores(abit) and no much coverage.(Feel more like a base)

Products used::

Rojukiss Protox Cell Protect sunblock SPF50 + Bio-essence Aqua Bbcream
Set with Nature Republic 4D flower powder(I mix all shade except the pink one)
Blush: I mix MAC well dressed and Garb

Sleek Circus palette(using the dark and lightest purple) Kiss Me Mascara, MAC PearlGlide Designer purple liner, Loreal Hip Gold Liner, Urban Decay 24/7 Zero, MAC Paintpot as base.

Just celebrated Peapea 6th birthday this evening(02 Jan 2011)

Bought the doggie's cake(the mini red one) from VIVO pet safari... the cheese cake from Breaktalk is for us(but I gave peapea abit.. cos he thinks that he's human! lolx ..) Buibui have all the red cake.. cos peapea only interested in the Tiny red chew ball.
