CANMAKE Blood tone cream cheek 血色感 (with Swatches)

By everbluec · May 12, 2013 · 0 Comments ·

Recently CANMAKE released 3 limited edition blood tone (血色感) cream cheek (cream blush) in Singapore and before swatching, I knew I have to have the red one (CL01)!!!!

Retail at SD$18.40 each (50cents more from the original range of cream cheek) but with 20% discount at Watsons...  I can't help but get 2 of it ^^  Now I kinda regret not getting CL03 (which is a red tone dull orangey shade - very unique)

Maybelline HyperCosmos duo eyeshadow in CH-1 [LOTD]

By everbluec · October 23, 2012 · 2 Comments ·

Created my everyday casual style of eye's makeup with Maybelline HyperCosmo Duo baked eyeshadow in CH-1.

Check out the swatches on all the 7 HyperCosmos Duo Eyeshadows >> HERE <<

A beautiful combination of pale gold and blue/olive tone emerald green shades.
Both are super glittery (fall-out alert)

Using the pale gold on the inner corner of the eye lid and up towards my crease (slighly above my double eyelid fold) and the emerald on the outer lids and blend blend blend.

Apply a skintone shade eyeshadow (I just grab any nearby - and in this LOTD, I'm using Shu uemura M813 under my brows.)

I didn't use any foundation in this look... Nowadays, my skintone look so much more even... except that my outer cheeks still look abit reddish (I already give up on that and accept the fact that I have reddish uneven cheeks!!! lolx)

I used white corrector to brighten up my face (I only apply it on my inner check, nose bright/Tzone) .... since I didn't apply any foundation.. my face is abit darker and warmer then my whole body, especially my neck (I need to brighten up my face so that I won't look like I suntanned my face ONLY)

Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting primer gives me the naturally dewy glow on the skin which I like  :)

With super bright day lighting... skin always look so flawless and nice on camera!!! (My skin doesn't look soooo smooth IRL and upclose!!!)

Stiff but not pokey. It coat and seperate the lashes well.

  • Mascara doesn't flake too

LOTD: ZA Eyes Groovy Aqua Squash

By everbluec · February 5, 2012 · 3 Comments ·

In this LOTD, I'm using the ZA Eyes Groovy in #04 Aqua Squash.

The shades was quite bright and fun, but not as soild and intense. It's bright enough to give a pop of color and still quite tone down for day time or work appropriate.

I'm using the blue on my whole lid and the aqua shade on the crease. (The aqua shade doesn't show up well on camera -_-")

Follow by any skin tone shade as brow's highlight/clean up (I'm using the CANMAKE setting powder). Line the eyes with ZA liquid liner and then set it with the navy blue shade(the one at the bottem right corner).

Use the lime green on my outer lower lash line and use any white frosty eyeshadows(or any pale white highlighter) on the inner corner of the eyes.

The eyeshadows from the Eyes Groovy was finely-milled ... not chalky at all and it doesn't have any fall-outs

ZA Cheeks groovy, the shades was pretty light but buildable. Good staying power and doesn't feel chalky too!

As for the highlight shade (June Bride).. the color doesn't show up like the swatches, just pale goldish tone(not too yellowish gold).. just a nice highlight sheen.

Smashbox Photo Finish Luminizing Foundation Primer

By everbluec · December 26, 2011 · 5 Comments ·

[Review]

Swatches...

After blending out... you can see a glow on my skin (it does make my skin look abit darker.. but after foundation/bbcream.. it doesn't make me look dark or anything.

(With sunblock and primer...)

->> The primer feel like a silicon base.. but not as thick nor dry. (I love the texture of this primer)
->> Easy to blend out...
->> Does minimize the pores(abit)
->> Provide a smooth canvas for foundation/bbcream.
->> Doesn't even out the redness on my face. (the bbcream I'm using does the work) but give a nice and nature radiant glow.
->> Oil control was pretty average, I depend more on the foundation/bbcream for the oil control factor.
->> Foundation/bbcream does wear abit longer

->> Have been rotating this primer and the smashbox hydrating primer for the pass 2mths... it doesn't cause any break out nor irritation on my skin.

(With bbcream and powder... )

Canmake marshmallow finish powder

By everbluec · December 15, 2011 · 5 Comments ·

[Review]

Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder was part of the goodies bag item I've received when I attended their Girly Party back in July 2011.

Canmake Marshmallow Finish Powder :
Create the perfect sweet-looking face that’s as soft and light like a marshmallow...
Achieve a matte finish that conceals pores and hides any unevenness in your complexion...
A face powder, finishing powder and setting powder for your foundation.

Canmake marshmallow finish powder is a delicate powder that combines the smoothness of silk and the softness of a marshmallow.
->>> Kind to your skin –  contains 72% mineral ingredients.
->>> No need to use special cleansers when removing your make-up [ordinary facial wash is fine!]
->>> Free from surfactants, tar-based pigments, alcohol and fragrance.

Formulation that prevents make-up wearing off due to shininess, dullness or dryness
->>> Contains shine-preventing powder. This absorbs sebum, preventing shininess, stickiness and make-up fade.
->>> Contains 10 beautifying agents to prevent skin becoming dry and rough

Moisturizing agents
->>> Aloe vera leaf extract, rosemary extract, chamomile extract, lemon extract

Toning agents
->>> Horse chestnut extract, perilla (shiso) leaf extract

Emollient agents
->>> Squalane, olive oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil

Contains concealing powder that makes pores and unevenness in skin texture much less noticeable
->>> The two different-sized types of spherical powder particles create a light-scattering effect, making it hard to notice areas of concern, such as pores and unevenness of skin texture.

I enjoy using this as setting powder to set my bbcreams or liquid foundations.

Doesn't have much color payoff (well, maybe become... I'm quite fair, so the shade doesn't make my skin look any fairer.

After using this for afew months, here's my thoughts on how I feel about this pressed finishing powder (aka review! kekekee). (I did rotate with other setting powders during these few months... but I always reach for this when I'm in a rush.)

->>>> Doesn't cause any skin irritation nor breaking out.
->>>> Doesn't feel dry on my skin
->>>> Love the soft focus finishing
->>>> Even out skin complexion
->>>> minimize my pores (not much but good enough to create the illusion(lolx))
->>>> It set either bbcream and liquid foundation quite well
->>>> average oil control (but in my case.. it's consider quite good)
->>>> finely milled powder and it blend/melted into my skin beautifully
->>>> Doesn't look cakey nor heavy on my skin
->>>> I like how soft my skin feel after I set my foundation with this finishing powder. (Some setting powder... after about 5-10mins my skin will start to feel abit sticky)... and it keep my skin soft and non-sticky for up to 4-5hrs.

I didn't use the puff provided(though the puff feel soft and nice on the skin) because I prefer to use a powder brush.

I've tried using this alone without any bbcream/foundation many times (Sunblock + Marshmallow finish powder)... and it keep my pores hidden, even out my complexion and made my face look soft for afew hours.

I love using this as my brow's highlight or clean up the messy eyeshadow application above my crease(eyelids) or soften the harsh eyeshadow(that I applied too much or blend out too far above my crease.) ... It's better then using skinshade eyeshadows!

Me wearing the finishing powder (Pic taken 2hrs later - outdoor under the sun - my face still look soft and oil-free)

Price: I'm not too sure, will check and update soon
Available at Watsons and John Little.

Canmake "Milky Orange" blush trend

By everbluec · September 8, 2011 · 10 Comments ·

In this entry, I'm going to show swatches of the three blushes I received back in June 2011 (Click)

This summer, Canmake join the "orange" blushes craze trend for this summer(I know summer almost over.. but the love for anythings orangey, coral and peaches never dies).

The "Milky Orange" Canmake mentioned was actually a more tone down Orange shade.. which is coral/peachy shade.

Canmake Cream Cheeks in #12 (New shade) Price: SD$17.90
The cream cheek was not oily and it last quite well..  not super long wearing but long enough(lolx... did I made any sense here???)

Canmake Cheek & Cheek in #01 (Price: SD$19.90)

Canmake powder cheek in PW27 (Price: SD$17.90?? Not too sure)

Part of my peach, coral, orangey blushes

Some swatches...

I'm still pretty crazy about this type of blush shades.... If you came across some really pretty peachy, orangery blushes do let me know... kekeke ....

Oh, I remember I have a VOV (Korean brand) blush that was really pigmented and in orange shade but I cant find it in my stash.... Hmmm... did I gave it away??? Anyway.. here the pics I copy from my previous entry...

Taken from this entry (VOV)

That's all ^,~

P/S: My sis going to smurf me when she found out that I took her Blythe :b Oh, well... who ask this Blythe have lovely shades of peach hair, orange eyes and coral cheeks!!!

Canmake Candy Wrap Lip [Swatches]

By everbluec · August 30, 2011 · 2 Comments ·

Received these Lipglosses during the CANMAKE 1st girly, pop and shiny media party.

Come in 4 shades from nude, coral, pink to red.

The lip glosses feel abit thick, but not so sticky. and I kinda need a few application to get a more event shade on bare lips. (Excuse my dry lips... it feel abit tight when I'm trying to swatch the lip glosses)

For the swatches of #01 and #02 - because of the gloss was really glossy + flash + resizing pics.. the pixel got mess up and resulting in color lost on the top inner lips.... Please excuse that :(

Shade #02 and #03 look rather similar.. but in real..
#02 have look rather peachy(it just didn't capture well on camera)
#03 is pretty pinky nude.. very natural.

I'm wearing shade #03 (Left: with flash/ Right: without flash)

#04 is a red gloss - but it not as red's RED... it's more of a diluted Red tone.. it would look nicer if layer it ontop of a lip color.

The top left pics.. (the lips swatches - took without flash)

Do moisturize you lips before and after wearing these glosses- it might be abit drying.

All lips swatches were taken with "flash"
Those taken without flash ... the colors look so wash out and all the shades(except #04) look quite similar(lolx)

That's all for NOW,
and if you wanna know... I'm loving shade #02 (Me love coral, peachy lips shade)

[Review] Vichy Aera Teint Pure Skin Breathing Fluid Foundation

By everbluec · August 23, 2011 · 21 Comments ·

I got this foundation as free gift when I purchased above SD$200 of Vichy's products(amount can be accumulated, just registered with the skincare/beauty advisor at the counter.)

Retail Price: SD$39 for 30ml

They have 4 shades in total and the lightest one have a pinkish undertone.(I want that, but it was OOS),  so I chose "Beige Orce 20".(It matches my skin and doesn't make me look dark. I still prefer the pink tone one!)

This foundation(all Vichy's products) contain the Vichy Thermal Spa Water

Ingredients list::

The texture and finishing of this foundation was very similar to Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra lift and firm makeup foundation.

When I took this set of pics, I forgot to set the ISO to auto... so those taken with flash was abit bright!

(below pic taken with flash)

->Even out my complexion and concealed some of the redness on my cheeks.
->Finishing is velvety matte(not chalky type of matte finishing)... D
->Doesn't have the need to set the foundation because it doesn't have that weird foundation sticky/wetness feel. (But I still set it with powder to make it last longer on my combination skin.)
->Doesn't irritate or cause any break-out
->Oil control was pretty average
->Last well for normal everyday usage (6-8hrs)
->Doesn't feel too thick.
->Sheer to high medium coverage (buildable)

(Below pic taken without flash near the window)

Excuse my tired eyes and face(somethings seem off with my body/health)... my double eyelid on my left eye have cut into the inner corner of my eye :( It's been this way for about afew weeks now!!! I'm seriously lack of sleep!!! (I need to start sleeping early and get my health and "double eyelid" to pop back out to normal!!!! (Notice a wound near my right brow's.. I accidently wounded myself with my "killer" nail!!!!! Ouch~)

(Below pic taken without flash- all covered up with foundation! Look so much better righth? lolx)

I hate the unevenness double-eyelids.. it just made the big-small eyes(大小眼) more visible :(

I didn't use any eyeshadow... just using the Sephora Jumbo crayon liner in Kaki(09)to draw a thick liner and top it with Latest Canmake Hyper Agebuto mascara(I'm loving the hotpink packaging and the non-watery texture mascara "wax") Didn't apply anything on my lower lashes.

products used::

-> Biore UV Aqua Rich SPF30 PA+++
-> Vichy Aera Teint Pure Skin Breathing Fluid Foundation in Beige Orce 20
-> CANMAKE Marshmallow Finish Powder (Click)
-> KOSE ESPRIQUE Melty Fix Cheek in PK800 (Click)
-> Anna Sui Eyebrow Color Compact in #01(Red/Brown) (Click)
-> Kate Brows mascara
-> Bourjois Khol & Contour eyeliner in Ultra black
-> Sephora Jumbo crayon liner in Kaki(09)
-> Canmake Hyper Agebuto mascara
(Products in Blue font was provided by the company for reviewing)

**** About my foundation shade : I prefer liquid foundation with pale cool tone pink undertones , For loose mineral foundation..  I prefer pale olive tone (both undertones work very well in brighten up my complexion and concealed my reddish cheeks.)

I can get away with paler shade of foundation because my body is way paler then my face(Well, my face was fair too la- it just that tone look slightly different). So with cooler tone foundation, it even out my redness... and I wont be walking around with "burn" face (lolx) because it will get redder when my temperature get higher! (Natural ROSY cheeks!)

<><><>
Alittle updates on my (M)PB"M" gang (Wink~ at Hazel)

(Use to be MPB gang -> momo, peapea and buibui) Now with Momo gone for more then 2 yrs - the new addition to the family and the gang is "Manman". She is a terrorist!!!!My room look like it had been hit by a bomb!!!!! I'm trying to do some Cesar Millan's stun on her including the others!!!

Everytimes Manman sleep on her back.. I cant stop laughing!!! Becos she's a HUGE dog and seeing her with her 4s up look funny la!

And she loved to disturb Buibui! Look at her paw- according to Cesar's theory.. this means that she's trying to rule Buibui.. wanna be on top of her!! Hmmm... to me, she just wanna get Buibui attention! lolx (Check out my messy room!! "shake head")

Here a pic of Buibui newly shaved look! kekekkee

And peapea.... he's sleeping soundly on his back!! (So carefree~)

That's all for now... thanks for reading (if there anyone reading it! lolx)

LOTD: The so-called-kawaii : Pinky champagne

By everbluec · July 30, 2011 · 2 Comments ·

A kawaii LOTD focusing more on the eyeliners.I recreated the kawaii look from the K-palette workshop I attended weeks ago (Look B)

I mix Kate Gel shadow in Gold and Pink - On the Lids (Cos I want a Pinkish gold shade) and a light brown shade on the crease. Follow by a droopy eyeliners which connect onto the lower lash line. (The colors look very soft in the pics... but in "real" it was pretty glossy and shimmery)

I'm using the faux lashes, that I received in the goodies bag (from the K-palette's workshop)

Products Used::
->> Biore UV Aqua Rich Sunscreen in SPF 50
->> Clarins Everlasting foundation (shade 101)
->> MAC MSF in Light
->> ESPRIQUE PRECIOUS shading powder (For bronze and highlight)
->> Murad Hybrids Eye Lift Illuminator
(On the under eye area before foundation -I find that it works better applied before foundation)
->> Kate gel shadow in Gold and Pink
->> MAC soba eyeshadow on the crease(not in the [pic above]
->> K-palette 24hrs Tattoo black eyeliner (Waterproof version)
->> K-palette 24hrs tattoo brow's liner in 01
->> Kate Brow's mascara
->> Canmake cheek & Cheek duo blush in shade 02
->> Canmake pressed powder(setting) eyeliner in black
->> Lancome Hypnose Precious Cells
->> Boujois Khol Contour 16hr black eyeliner(on water/tight lines)
->> Bobbi brown Gold glitters liquid liner ontop of the black eyeliner(not in the pic)
[Products in Blue font were provided by the company for reviewing]

I know a long list of products: But I only use half a pump of liquid foundation on my face (trying to avoid putting foundation on my T-zone and forehead - just blend in some leftover.) and then powder/setting my face with MAC MSF.

I have suffered dry flaky lips during the time where I took these pictures. The Lip Ice sheer color lipbalm really moist up my lips and make it feel less tight and painful! (Well... It feel more "oily" then "moisturizing" but not really that oily "oily" just a nice film coating the lips.)

The lip color is the Lip Ice Sheer color lipbalm in "strawberry"(Click here for the swatches) that will change color when apply..[Only the above pic is with the lip balm]

Introducing the new comer "mânmàn"(文文 in Cantonese) - She is around 2 to 3mths old - It a huge puppy! :)

[lolx at myself trying my best to force open my eyes where mânmàn's eyes like half shut!]

Thanks for reading <3
