Spreading out...
The shade look dark(warm) on my skin, doesn't provide much "coverage" cos it's a primer BUT, it does even out my uneven complexion.

The shade look much more clearer and darker when I see it with my bare eyes (not thru camera len)
So I tried taking pic from another angle and finally can see abit of shade different.

Have been trying this primer on and off for the pass 2 months

I dont have much blemishes, but I do have inflammation on my nose recently(I HATE it!!!!!!!!!) and this primer feel so soothing on the skin during application.(<3)

• The primer dries down to a soft matte finishing, doesn't make skin feel dry nor tight. Doesn't feel thick nor sticky too!

• When I apply this on the face... it doesn't make my face look dark or warm (all thanks to the Adaptive shade techonology) from a normal distance. BUT, when super close up... can see that it's still abit dark on my face, but nobody will stand that close to "anyone" (right?!? lolx).

• When I layer on foundation, it doesn't change the formula nor the foundation shade.

• My skin was pretty dry, and this doesn't make my skin feel even drier.

• As for the oily control : My nose sometimes will shine and this does help in control the shine.

I sweat alot... and when I sweat my face doesn't look too shiny when I use this primer.

(Note:: My skin shade was pretty fair - always pick the lightest shade from most of the brands foundation and some of them still look quite warm on me)

After posting up the review.. think about a week or two later, my skin have improved alot and NOW.... I'm back to my original skin condition (mild combination skin! Yeah~) Which is why I always reach for this primer to apply on my T-zone.

Using this primer on my nose and chin almost everyday after the review on June (before that I rotate it with other primers). And I noticed a huge improvement on the skin on my nose - white heads kinda reduced (I still use B.liv on my nose at night to soften any "white/black heads formed) and my nose feel smooth and soft. Doesn't have the need to use pores strips.

Any treatments needs time... this primer show good results after using it for 3 months.

It does help in soothing out the dry cuticle (I squeeze out some on the back of my hand and then apply on my cuticle).. making fingers look moist and youth.(lolx) Does feel oily on the fingers but that was quite normal .. but not oily and watery like cuticle oil.

As lip's treatment, it does soften the dry lips and heal cracked lips quite nicely.
The texture feel like any lip treatment - abit greasy, not sticky and doesn't have the thick waxy texture.

My thoughts on both the Mentholatum Organic Certified Lipbalms

• Both Raspberry & Strawberry and Lavender & Orange flavours lip balms feel quite the same on the lips.

• Doesn't feel sticky nor thick waxy type of feel (texture)
• The scent wasn't too overpowering
• Lip balm doesn't have much of a taste , just taste like normal tasteless lip balm

• light weight

• Give the right amount of moisture for the lips

• Prevent lips from getting tight and dry

• Doesn't last as long as those thick waxy lip balm that was meant for "crack lips"
• lips doesn't feel dry or the need to reapply after the lip balm wore off
• Feel like I apply a layer of silky soothing oil on the lip.
  The oil doesn't really feel like oily type of oil... more like those creamy lotion type of greasy feel. Feel rather similar to liquid lip balm (you know those roller type, but not as watery)
• Both have soothing not too strong scents.
• I haven't have "cracked" lips for awhile now... so I can't say much whether it will heal and soothe crack bleeding lips.
  (Will edit that in, if I have cracked lips)

I normally use lipbalm as an overnight treatment... so my review was base on that. I sleep in AC room and I use my mouth to breath MOST of the time, so my lips tend to crack, peel and become super tight easily.

Last week, this little cutie came in the mail! Lip Smacker Christmas Giftset.  

Julius' Strawberry Banana Squeezy lip smacker

This squeezy lip smacker was abit thicker compare to the Worry Bear's Honey Sweet liquid lip smacker.
-> Doesn't feel sticky
-> light sweet taste
-> It was so glossy.. not shiny type of glossy but watery, juicy type of glossy(lolx)

Most of you already knew about this 2 set of Lipbalms from Mentholatum which were launch recently(July) in Singapore. (Before I recieved these.. I already bought one of each at Watsons)

Anyway, I pop by post office to collect this box of goodies.

 

Mentholatum Deep Moist Lipbalm in Menthol and Natural

Deep Moist was launched in 2008 in Japan and have been doing so good that it quickily became the  top selling lip balms in Japan's lip care market. The success of the Deep moist is due to two main factors. The premium hydrating ingredients at value pricing and it's elegant, ergonomic packaging design.

The Key moisturizing ingredients are:::
-> Hyaluronic Acid:
A premium ingredient that forms a smooth, moisture locking shield for softer, smoother lips. It can hold up to 6litres of water.

->Shea Butter:
Heals the skin and gives a soft, pleasant texture to the lip balm

->Jojoba oil:
Gives pro-longed, whole day hydration to the lips.

It's fragrance and color free (Doesn't taste anything also... lolx)
As for the Menthol version... it abit minty(Not as minty as Carmex lipbalm) and it doesn't last long also - just when you close the cap on the lipbalm.. the minty feel was gone! lolx

From the back of the packaging.. it also mention that it contain vitamin E and Avocado oil.

 

My review:
I have been using the Deep Moist Natural for amonth now. The texture was abit dry(not as waxy or creamy compare to most lipbalm's texture) and it absorb pretty fast. (Don't have the need to reapply also.. Good for me.. cos I'm really LAZY~)

I normally breath thru my mouth(my nose isn't working like normal! lolx.... it's a long story!!) ... so resulting in having dry lips... always have a layer of dry skin near the inner of my lips(see pic..). Can't really see the layer of dry skin.. but can feel it with my tongue. And when it gets really dry.. my lips will cracks(Painful!!!!)

This lipbalm was really moisturizing... I didn't experiences any cracks on my lips.. but I still can feel the layer of dry skin on my inner lips :(   I don't mind at all... as long as they isn't a crack on my lips(no crack no pain) I'm happy ^__^ (Both Natural and Menthol lipbalms doesn't feel much different)

I like it cos it doesn't feel greasy and it last the whole night (I applied before I sleep.. and when I woke-up, lips still feel moist.) I also love the very simple "no nonsense" packaging! lolx

It's a lipbalm.. as long as it moisture my lips.. it's consider a good lipbalm(right?!?! No???) lolx

Mentholatum Mogitate Kaitsu

Launched in Singapore on 12th July 2010. "Mojitate" means "Fresh" and "Kajitsu" means "Fruits" in Japanese. This juicy lipbalm is bursting with Natural Fruity Goodness and honey.

Mogitate Kaitsu have a total of 5 flavours: Strawberry, Orange & Mango, Lemon & Lime, Grape & Berry and White Peach.
(They gave me Strawbery, Orange & Mango and Lemon & Lime) My sister bought the White Peach and she love it so much!)

Mogitate Kajitsu is made with Fresh Fruit Juice which contains essential minerals and vitamins that are beneficial to the lips and body. It also contains Honey, which heals and renews the lips.

It also contains other moisturizing boosters such as Squalane, Grape Seed Oil, Vitamins A and E. Squalane is easily absorbed, and is similar to the natural oil on our skin. It is extracted from plants and is a highly prized Japanese supplement. Squalane helps to reduce the wrinkles caused by aging and sun damage. Grape Seed Oil helps to repair skin. Vitamin A & E are antioxidants that retard lip aging, and give lips a healthy shine.

And it also UV protected (Have to thanks the anti-oxidants ingredients which help in preventing sunburn and fight free radicals!)

My review::
When I first apply this (I'm using the strawberry one, cos the ingredients was the same for the other flavours)..

• feel really creamy..

• smell really lovely and yummy

• Feel abit minty! <3 

• didn't taste anything like strawberry or sweet.... it taste like a taste-less cream(lolx.. I donno how to explain! Anyway, it didn't bother me at all.)

I only apply a thin layer before I went to bed and I woke up with super soft and smooth lips! Yes.. even the layer of dry skin on my inner lips were GONE (OMY.. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!)

Like the Deep moist, mogitate kaitsu lipbalm is quite moisturizing(not as moisturizing as the Deep Moist), creamy and smell good! lolx (The white peach also smell really good!)  And like Deep moist.. it last the whole night too.
