Bare skin - I didn't apply any primer. (Red spots on the side of both cheeks, dark circles and redness around nose.

Half face application....
Even out the discoloration....

When first apply, it does look white on the skin... see how "red" my skin is with the half face application.

Full face application ... fresh skin

Below full face(with all makeup) pics were taken after 6hrs... can see abit of my red spots and my face look reder as compare to my neck. (Forgot to take a pic after I'm done with my makeup.)

With flash...

My review on this bbcream after trying it out for more then a month

  • The consistency of this bbcream was quite thick and abit "dry" in fomula, not easy to spread out. (So have to apply by section to avoid cakeiness)
  • The BBcream look abit "white" but it will settle and melt into my skin shade (My face is redder then my body/neck)
  • Good oil-control (my nose didn't oil up easily)
  • Does brighten up my complexion during the first 2 to 3 hrs before it wore off.
  • Quite moisturizing
  • Sheer to medium coverage
  • Doesn't feel sticky nor oily
  • has a matte finishing (can skip loose powder)
  • does feel abit soothing during application
  • does even out complexion and correct my dark circle abit
  • Bbcream last about 5-7 hrs. (best to set it with pressed foundation for longer and more coverage)
  • Doesn't irritate my skin
  • Doesn't cause any break-out
  • When my skin was feeling really dry and tight, this bbcream tend to feel abit cakey, but it doesn't make skin feel dry and tight (good moisturizing factor). [Suitable for normal to oily combination skin.]

I enjoy using this bbcream when weather is really humid and warm - I like the oil control factor. Athought I have dry combination skin.. but my nose will feel abit oily after afew hours, and this bbcream help in balancing my skin.

SKINFOOD Good Afternoon Rose lemon Tea BB SPF 20 PA+ [Review]

By everbluec · July 9, 2012 · 5 Comments ·

SKINFOOD Good Afternoon Rose lemon Tea BB is a hydrating and fitting BB cream that helps maintain a soft, supply complexion throughout the day.  Contains revitalizing rose and hydrating lemon.

:

Finally after using this bbcream on and off for the pass 4 months... I'm going to roll out all the reviews of the 5 Good afternoon bb (One per entry) ...  I received back in March 2012. (I'm abit slow - so bare with me, K?)

:

:

The texture of this bbcream feel abit "dry"  - It's kinda rare to find this type of texture in base(or skincares) product that was meant for "dry" skin. And not forgetting that this bbcream has a higher oil content as compare to the other 4 in the Good Afternoon BB range.

This doesn't feel moist, oily, thick nor sticky.. not the typical bbcream type of texture.

When I squeeze out the bbcream, the shade is the darker amoung the rest of the Good Afternoon bb in shade #01 - but when I spread out the cream .... (how should I explain?!?!) The cream kinda burst and melt into a lighter shade(which is more towards my skin shade). It's blend and melt into my skin nicely without feeling greasy, sticky or wet.

:

:

My bare face (after sunplay cool sunblock, stila and Murad primer)
(Click to enlarge! Dont wanna scare anyone with my "nude" face)

Half face...
[Click on the image to enlarge]

The bbcream have a soft matte finish.. it doesn't feel oily nor sticky.

With loose powder, blush and eye makeup

So here's my thoughts on how I feel about the SkinFood Good Afternoon Rose lemon Tea BB SPF 20 PA+

Before I start, I need to let y'all know my skin condition. My skin have become so much better now.. not as dry and tight as compare to months ago. And my skin feel more like a normal to dry combination now.

  • Doesn't feel too heavy on the skin (lightweight texture)
  • Doesn't feel oily, sticky nor moist on the face
  • Very hydrating
  • Feel soothing on the skin
  • Doesn't cause any skin irritation
  • No breaking out
  • medium light coverage
  • even out complexion
  • The bbcream blend and melted into my skin nicely.
  • After the bbcream set, it kinda melt into my skin shade.
  • semi matte powdery finishing (can skip setting the bbcream cos it doesn't feel "wet" on the skin)
  • Doesn't look cakey after afew hours of wearing
  • I still look fresh and nice after 6hrs
  • Have a really really nice scent - smell like a yummy rose lemon tea!

Skin79 Vital BB Cream with SPF 50+ PA+++ [Review]

By everbluec · February 2, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

Skin 79 latest addition -  Skin79 Vital BB Cream with SPF 50+ PA+++ (More details here)

The people from Skin79 Sg sent me the press kit in CNY mood packaging!
(The orange bbcream = Mandarin Orange! lolx)

Inside were their latest addition Skin79 Vital BB Cream with SPF 50+ PA+++ and Skin79 Simple Touch Eyeliner. Not forgetting Skin79 angbao!

The bottle/packaging of the Vital Bbcream is the same as their VIP Hotpink and Gold BBcream (but the texture of the bbcream was totally, completely different!!!)

Ingredients...

Swatches...

The bbcream feel quite normal as compare to those thicker(abit more coverage) bbcream .. but when I spread it on my face, the texture of the bbcream feel thick and creamy.

Spreading the bbcream on my face/skin...

[Top - taken without flash]
[Bottom - taken with flash]

The bbcream texture was pretty thick and it does look thick on my face(I only need half pump for my whole face).

Personally, I prefer light watery texture bbcream or liquid foundation that was more towards sheer to medium/dewy finishing. And this is pretty much high medium to full coverage, matte finishing.

[Top taken without flash - can see that my complexion is more even and matte on the right side]
[Bottom taken with flash] (Click to enlarge the pics to see the clearly)

Because of the thick texture/almost full coverage.. it does emphasize the dryness on my face.

For these couple of months, my skin are more towards dry combination then oily.. but my nose still feel abit oily on humid weather.

Well, normally my skin doesn't work quite well with "thick" texture foundation/bbcream.. it just make my skin look abit patchy (especially) on my cheeks. ((You know.. skin look and feel perfectly ok(hydrated), but when apply thick foundation... it's will look dry!))

That's the sad story of my combination "not oily, not dry, not normal" skin!

(On below pic) Look abit patchy right.. (by the way, the skin between my lips and nose are extremely dry... because, I caught a cold on CNY and have been squeezing nonstop for a week!)

If you do not have any problems with full coverage foundation, I bet this will work well on your skin too. This foundation target more for normal, combination to oily skin. (It will look abit dry or patchy on dry skin)

Sum up my thoughts on the Vital Bbcream
->> Thick texture but feel light weight on the skin
->> Doesn't cause any irritation nor break out during the past few weeks of using it.
->> I love the finishing when I mix the bbcream with ZA skin brightener.
->> High medium to full coverage
->> Matte finishing
->> Even out complexion and minimize pores.
->> The bbcream might be too light for tan skin (around 3shades darker then me - I always used the lightest shade foundation - but some still feel abit too yellowish on me)
->> Even though the thick creamy texture does emphasize dry skin(on me for now).. but it feel quite moisturizing.
->> Skin feel soft and supple - doesn't feel sticky
->> Oil control was pretty decent... doesnt greasy up easily!
->> Suitable for normal, combination to oily skin.

With simple eyemake up... using the Skin79 Simple Touch Eyeliner (I have a love hate feeling with this eyeliner... I need to try it afew more times before doing a review on it)

My brows have been getting thicker and thicker...

I applied highlight "almost" all over my face.... ahhahhaa... not really la!! Just set the bbcream with brightening(contain mica/shimmers) setting powder and ZA June Bride highlight powder on my upper cheek, nose bridge and forehead. (So that my face doesn't look too flat)

Skin79 Lovely girl BB cream [Review]

By everbluec · December 12, 2011 · 0 Comments ·

I received the Skin79 Lovely Girl BBcream early October 2011 and after using it for around 2months (on and off, as I do use other bbcream/foundation during these 2 months)

Refer to ->>> this entry <<<- for more details on this product.

Ingredients list...

Bare face after my normal skincares + sunblock ....[Top pic taken with flash / Bottom pic taken without flash]

->>> The bbcream feel creamy (not too watery)...  abit thick when trying to spread out on the face.. but the cream doesn't feel heavy or thick on the skin (do I made any sense here? I means.... it just feel abit stiff when trying to spread out on the skin)

->>> Medium coverage, it give a nice soft finishing (might look abit wet if I apply a thicker texture moisturizer)

->>> Oil control was pretty decent

->>> Even out my uneven complexion and does cover redness

->>> Doesn't cause any skin irritation or break out

->>> Quite moisturizing and soothing

->>> With a nice finishing powder, the bbcream last quite well.. about 5-7hours.

->>> When I have the bbcream on, my skin feel kinda soft.

Ginvera Green Tea nude cover BBcream [Review]

By everbluec · May 25, 2011 · 0 Comments ·

I have been using the Ginvera Green Tea nude cover bbcream for about a week now.
I love the texture and coverage, but not the shade, it gave me a 2 shades darker nude skin finishing(lolx). Since the shade were abit dark on me, I don't see any brightening effect on my face! lolx

I hope in future they will release a lightest shade for fairer skintone.

Skin79 Hot Pink Collection Super+ Beblesh Cream SPF25 PA++ [Review]

By everbluec · April 18, 2010 · 17 Comments ·

Products use:: On Face
- ZA True White Day Protector Sunscreen SPF26 PA++ -
- Skin79 Hot Pink Collection Super+ Beblesh Cream SPF25 PA++
- Everyday Minerals foundation in Light Almond
- I didn't use concealer
-
MAC Blush: Personal Style
- MAC Sweetie lipstick (I dap off some of the color on tissue)

Products use:: On Eyes
Benefit Creaseless cream Skinny jean all over the lid (Just one color)
- MAC Brule for highlight
- K-Palette 1 day tattoo liquid Liner in Jet black (waterproof version)
- Bourjois Clubbing black liner on waterline/tightline

- On the brows.. K palette 24hrs tattoo brow's liner(shade 01) to fill up my brows
- Maquillage Brow's wax #77
- Dejavu Fiberwig mascara in Classic Wine
(Products hightlighted in blue were given to me by the company)

I have been using Skin79 Hot Pink Collection Super+ Beblesh Cream SPF25 PA++ for about 1 week plus now (since I got it on 9 April).  I like it even thought the oil control wasn't that great! My nose does look abit shiny after afew hrs of wearing. (well.. I just use a tissue to blot it off, I seldom use bloting paper.. I normally don't feel the need to blot.)

I have mild combination skin (oily on T-zone)... I guess the moisturizer/foundation/base I've used all have good oil-control factors?

I layer foundation on top of the bbcream... cos I find that this bbcream doesn't provide any coverage except even out my skintones. It doesn't concealer scars and acne marks or red spots at all. It work like a base/primer more than a foundation.

[From product package]
3 effects functional beblesh balm.
By Adenosine and Arbutin ingredients which are effective in whitening, wrinkles impreovement, cultivate more bright and elastic skin.

Intercept UV A and B at the same time and protect your skin exposed from the sun more throughly.

OSMOPUR ingredient of new concept which are mixed sunflower, rice bran, ivy extracts protect skin from various harmful conditions.

Phyto Complex ingredient which is good for skin moisurizing and soothing makes your skin always moist and healthy.

This product has excellen cover function by composition of make-up base and foundation. It can correct your irregularly different skin tones naturally. At the same time by use of fine and soft texture porosity powder is excellent for your skin adhesion and sebum control.

The texture of the bbcream

It does minimize my pores really well (better then RMK. but not as powerful as Sana Silicon bases), doesn't clogged my pores and it didn't make my foundation(which is minerals loose foundation) cakey/patchy. It give a dewy finishing (even after I applied my foundation, my face still look dewy).

Sometimes RMK bases were abit too drying on me when I didn't have enough sleep (more like no)sleep at all... my face tend to be more dry.. and Skin79 Hotpink bbcream does help to keep my face moisturize.

  • RMK creamy polished base in 00 shade(the latest version) :: much better in oil control and it doesn't provide any dewy finishing..
  • RMK creamy base in 01 shade (the discontinued version) :: contain mica which have tiny shimmers (brighten up my skin)

Oil control wise same as polished base.

  • Sana Silicon base: Great oil control, minimizer pores really well, matte finishing (Won't clogged into pores as it settle on top of the pores- Good for oily skin- but I notice that it tends to cause breakout on alot of ppls.)

I enjoy using this bbcream... I just hope that it will have better oil control.. well I guess it's a good time for me to use blot powder to set my face?

Oh, it didn't cause any breakout on me... (those breakouts I have was before I start using this product. So it wasn't cause by the bbcream.)

Here's the before and after
These pics were taken few days ago.

Can see some discoloration around my eyes and Pinky/Redness cheeks and chin.
After the bbcream... dicoloration was even out.. skintone look more even.
I have afew breakouts... due to the humid weathers/heaty body. It almost dries up/heal.

My sister which have oily skin.. she loved the Skin79 Gold VIP bbcream(which was meant for dry/combination skin)... weird right? She say the hotpink one make her face feel much oily where the Gold one make her face feel better even though oil control wasn't good. (I only tried the gold VIP bbcream once.. it's abit too oily for me.. I think I have to give it afew try before I comment on it! lolx)

Skin79 would be available at all major watsons stores on 24 April 2010.
