Interesting, I tried one of the "clubbing" mascara before (not too sure of the full name), but it doesn't hold up the curl well for me!

The material of the mascara tube feel sturdy and sleek.
It's abit longer and (atiny bit) heavy as compare to normal mascaras tube.
(battery operated... but "normally" can last until the mascara finished/dries up)

The brush head is blendable, but not too soft that it will cause a mess while apply it on the lashes.

Below is a super short clip on how the mascara rotate (lolx at myself for filming it.. I hope this give you a clear image on how it rotate)

First up a set of bare "curled" lashes .. (I'm using Shu uemura eyelash curler - loving it!!!)

My thoughts on the mascara
I have been using this mascara for almost a month(rotating with my other mascaras)

->> It does lengthen and thicken my lashes (as you can see from the above pics)

->> Becos of the rotation brush head, it focus more on the root of the lashes when I apply the masara which HELP the mascara to stay curled up all day.

->> Doesn't make my lashes look crumpy.
but it doesn't show too much different in length or volume when I applied the 3rd coat - which means 2 coats is enough to create a nice(not too crazy) thicken/lengthen lashes.

->> I'm loving the rotating brush head, cos it help to coat my lashes very well and it doesn't get too messy during application.

->> Quite waterproof.. cos I was caught in the rain afew times and I didn't have "black" tears running down my cheeks.

->> The mascara was abit wet(not too wet like majolica majorca) and the pigmentation of the mascara was not too intense black(maybe because, my own lashes was dark enough?)... it's almost the same shade as the root of my lashes.

->> I have mix thoughts on the smudge proof factor. (Waterproof doesn't means smudgeproof)
Sometimes, it doesn't smudge...sometimes it does(just abit only). After I wipe it off, it doesn't smudge anymore. Anyway, it's still not a glam sight walking around having black smudges on the under eyes right?!?! Althought it wasn't too obvious... cos, nobody(my friends/family) notice it!!!! Smudges happened normally when I wore it out for more the 3hrs on humid weathers.

 

I do like the effect of my lashes when I'm using this mascara. Beside the smudging, I have no problems with it.... guess I will use this when I'm not running about under hot sun!

Received the newly released Cyber Colors Ex Volume Waterproof Mascara from Cyber Colors thru SASA SG to try try ^_^

 

The description for this mascara sound awesome right... "Feather light xtra volume" (I guess, it me... cos I love mascara that give good volume and it doesn't weight down my stubborn lashes)

->>>> The mascara was quite waterproof, abit hard to remove (must use "oil" cleanser ... normal gel or waterbase can't remove it)

->>>> Even when using oil cleanser it still need to let it soak awhile to totally remove it. (And Hada Labo Cleansing oil doesn't remove it.. even when I double cleansed.... the mascara still stick on my lashes like they are their life saver!!!!)

->>>> Althought this is a waterproof mascara... but it does smudges abit after afew hours of wearing(not much... still acceptable for me)

->>>> Doesn't weight down my lashes for the first few hours, but it doesn't stay curled up the whole day.

->>>> Doesn't lengthen much, but give good volume (Not that thick as I expected)

->>>> Darken my lashes to make it look long.. the black wasn't pitch black, but dark enough to define the lashes.

->>>> Lashes doesn't feel crumpy... spread out nicely.

->>>> The texture of the mascara on the lashes wasn't that "crisp" dry like Fasio or Majolica Majorca (Fasio is by far the driest and best waterproof mascara I've ever came across.. .which also the hardest to remove)... but cyber Color one still feel a tiny bit stiff.

->>>> The wax was abit wet and also because of the bendable mascara wand... it's kinda messy during applying.. as the wand will bounce back and touches my eyelid.

Recently, I won a set of makeup from The Face Shop. (I never tried any TheFaceShop color makeup before... except a 2 way cake foundation(the one in white casing) and the blemish bbcream. (I'm happy... kekekekekkekee ^,~)

When I dig into the goodies.. I realised that they gave me 2 blushes(same shade) and miss out the eyeshadow quad :(and the mascara also kinda different from what it mentioned on the magazine.

[Event + New Launch]

Attended the Kate Cosmetics intimate blogger session @ The Scarlet Hotel (A Four stars boutique hotel) a few weeks ago. To preview their latest launch "Wide Edge Eyes.

The session was held in a Passion suite (click)

The suite was really cozy, sweet and gorgeous... just abit warm(too many ppls squeeze into a small room.)

Finger foods/snacks... didn't ate much, cos I came from another "event" plus a "lattes" session with buddies.

Anyway, they do have ice-water.. but the glasses were kept inside the cupboard(under the snacks/flat screen TV)  which no ones saw (or took it out!) lolx (abit weird to keep all the glasses/cup right?)

After some snacks plus checking out the makeup on the display table... Follow by introducting Kate latest launch + makup demo! (Not going to go into details, cos it's just a demo on how to use the products from base(Primer/bbcream/loose powder foundation) to color makeup (blush/eyeshadow/mascara/liner and ects).

The ppls from Kate prepared some costumes for us to dress up and have fun taking pics(they even prepare a huge "ring light")... but no one change except Jiaqi! lolx (cute right?)

All the bright white/pale pics were taken infront of a huge ring light! (Except my 2 solo shots.. I took it infront of the bathroom mirror... I love the bathroom... so pretty)

They provided us with a set of their new launch products to try it out .. included 2 of the star release "Wide Edge Eyes" shadow palettes. I did took pics of the new products during the session at the suite... but due to the lighting/spacing, all my products pics were kinda blurry  (-_-)" so I took fresh set of pics at home with natural lighting(or flash)!

New mascara base (this is a new version with black fiber)... The original version is Kate Mascara base A) and the latest version is (Kate Mascara AA)

(Note: I purchased the Original mascara base last year(A friend CP for me at HongKong) and I didn't quite like it at first, but when it start to get abit "drier" it was NOT BAD! I hope the new version would be much better)

Next would be the Eyeliner Pencil RT (Real Touch)

This is a gel liner in pen form (It look like a crayon pencil liner.. but when you swatch it, it glide on smoothly like a gel base liner!)

[Note: Once you turn out the pencil.. it cannot be turn back in.. so try not to turn out too much!]

It does bleed when I swatch it on the back of my hand (cos the ink was too "moist") I still haven't try this on my lash lines yet.

The color doesn't look this crazy on the lips... and it's wasn't that "bronze-y" like the flash shot(above)

Applied a layer of the lip color on my lips... (Buildable intensity, above swatches was like about 2/3 layers)

(Pls excuse my base face - too lazy to put on makeup when I took these shots, cos not going anywhere)

Za Impact Lash Base and Volume mascara

The volume mascara's brush is a curl shape brush and bristle will get to the shorter lashes. This is to thicken each lashes to maximize the volume effect.

The wax of the mascara base was abit moist(too wet as compare to the Majolica Majorca lash bone- which I love)

Before applying mascara base/mascara... I curl my lashes with Shu uemura curler..

With mascara base... The base when apply look abit milky, but dries up to a transparent shade(no color! lolx)

The was was abit moist.. it takes awhile to dry.. if I apply mascara ontop of the base before it dries.. the mascara wand will lift off the mascara base from my lashes. Remember to wait till it's about 70% dry before applying mascara.

When the base dries.. which took about 10-20secs... I apply the mascara..

So now I put all the "before and after" pics side by side (easy to see/compare)

The base hold up the curl and help in thicken my lashes abit (I still prefer the white base lash bone from Majolica Majorca).

Volume mascara..

• it does thicken the lashes abit (not much)

• does lengthen the lashes abit too(which is a plus point!)

• loving the mascara wand as it help to coat all the lashes to thicken it.

• Good holding power! My lashes doesn't feel heavy or fall down after applying the mascara.

(Fasio and Majolica Majorca have good holding power too, but the lashes feel kinda dry.. cos of the super waterproof function)

• Doesn't have fall out bits (I normally wore it around 8-10hrs)

• Waterproof and smudge proof 

• Easy to remove with cleansing oil 

• The mascara wax was black .. and it's good enough to thicken the lashes. (Not jet black but black enough)

• The maacara wax doesn't feel too wet or dry(I prefer abit dry mascara... cos it wont get so messy)

I like the mascara... and I feel like trying the "wide eyes" I think the wide eyes mascara would be a good base for the volume mascara (I think... lolx)

Liquid Liner::

• The liner wasn't as black when just drew on... but the shade is buildable to an intense black.

• This liner doesn't smudge and it's waterproof

I use this on my sister on her wedding day.. it last from morning(around 5am to 11pm) and it didnt smudge at all!(Impressive)

• The tip is soft and easy to draw.

• The staying power of this liner was pretty good too..

• Very waterproof, as I need to soak my eyes abit longer with cleansing oil to totally remove the liner.

ingredients list....

I have been wearing this mascara everyday for a month after I received it back in July 2011.

-> I love the formula of the mascara as it's not too watery and it spread out my lashes well, giving me volume and thickness.
-> Doesn't lengthen my lashes much.
-> It smudge proof, but it does flake abit.
-> This is not a waterproof mascara, but the waterproof level was quite good, as I don't see any panda eyes after over 10hrs of wearing it.
-> Easy to remove
-> Like the intensity of the black wax - doesn't look greyish at all.
-> Doesn't hold up curl well on stubborn lashes, it felt really heavy after 3 coats.
(The pics below were applied in 3 coats of mascara). I need to recurl my lashes after the mascara dries up.

After...(After applying 3 coats of mascara and re-curl it with lash curler)

Side by side comparison.. (Before and after)

After a month of using, I find that...
-> my lashes are abit stronger and denser.
-> Lashes didn't fall out as often, like in the morning or after washing the face.

-> I didn't notice any differences when I look in the mirror!
(So here comes the comparing pictures(lolx), pictures always capture stuff that we can't see with out bare eyes!)

-> does look abit longer
(lashes do grow, and with lesses fall out- the lashes got a chance to grow longer (am I right??) 
(Oops, my lashes ain't the only one growing... check out my bushy brows!!! I need to trim it soon!)

The brush applicator head is bendable.. and it help in some ways, it doesn't feel harsh on my tightline when I brush the brush too near the lash's root(do I made any sense here?)

Here is the before and after use of the mascara (I use both.. lolx cos "#1 the length and drama" really darken and volume abit of my lashes)

(This is taken without flash... bare and curled lashes)
I used #2 first then another 2 cost of #1.

Here's the before and after - using flash!

It does feel abit crumpy.. I applied 3 coats. I tried it again today and it doesn't feel as crumpy as before.(I think it the way I applied.. too much mascara's wax on the wand/brush?)

I take another pic (4 coats of mascara).. applied on my lower lashes too. It does weight down my lashes abit after applying 3 coats.. I just wait till it dry and curl my lashes again. And it made lower lashes abit more crumpy then I like, so I use a spoolie to comb thru it.

My lashes feel soft and light... not dry at all.
