LOTD in Loreal Color riche Les Ombres (Velours Noir)

By everbluec · February 10, 2013 · 0 Comments ·

Received a set of Loreal Color riche Les Ombres eyeshadow quads back in January 2013 (Swatches on all the quads will be up soon!!) These will be available at all Loreal counters in March/May 2013(Will find out and edit soon)

So in this post, I'm using Loreal Color riche Les Ombres in Velours Noir (E5).

Close Up

Taken with flash

To be frank, I wasn't too into this quad... "grey" just wasn't my favourite type of color to use on my lids(eyelids)... cos sometimes grey will make my eye look funky and messy (maybe cos I'm using  matte grey and fail all the time)

And when I show all the quads to my sisters... they all reached for this Grey/silvery quad!!! I told them they can have it after I tried it out. And boy.... the silvery, the frosty white and the frosty grey(which look abit "blue" on my skintone) shades are soooooo beautiful!

So beautiful that I used it almost everyday for the past week!! (Oops!! Kekekkee.. now I have to bid farewell to this pretty babe (Maybe I should keep it and get one for them?!?! See how I feels when I try the other quads ^_^)

Swatches in various lighting

Taken with flash

The eyeshadows feels creamy(not too creamy, wet type), very smooth and easy to blend... does have a tiny bit of fall out.

Do pack the eyeshadow tight onto the eyeshadow's brush and tap away the excess to prevent fall out.

I try it with the essence eyeshadow base (which by the way... not really a good primer/base), eyeshadow look nice and doesn't crease too crazily on my deep double eyelid folds. Which means... even without a base, this shadows will still show up nicely, vibrant and smooth on the lids. (IF you don't have a deep crease/double eyelid folds la)

And with Urban Decay Primer postion in EDEN, the shadows look abit more vibrant and last very well without much creasing.

The pictures taken by my camera was abit too bright (the color doesn't show up nicely... )

Below is a pic taken by samsung galaxy note front camera (which I have posted on my instagram) The silvery grey look more accurate and true to what I see from the mirror(lolx)

LOTD : Hello Kitty in Rome

By everbluec · January 25, 2013 · 0 Comments ·

Created a very basic look, using my usual style of eyeshadow application.. nothing too fancy.

The Hello Kitty eyeshadow feel really smooth, easy to blend out. It only start to crease alittle bit after afew hours (remember I have very deep double eyelid fold).

As for the mascara, it doesn't smudge, quite waterproof and if you have super stubborn Asian lashes like mine... this mascara doesn't hold up the curl well. BUT it does thicken and spread out the lashes nicely without feeling too heavy.

My basic everyday LOTD color - Green

By everbluec · January 24, 2013 · 3 Comments ·

Hihihi.
First LOTD post in 2013... going to feature it with my fave color... GREEN! Just an everyday very basic shade (for me la) when I have no idea what colors I want to put on my eyelids.

I think this is also the first LOTD pictures I published using my new Samsung camera(which I got back in November 2012).

Still not use to the colors and the "effect" ... Hai~  seriously I think that I have put on ALOT of weight. Need to lose some together with my buibui.

Our new goal : to lose some weight together this year (Yes, I means the whole year.... cos I'm someone with 0% will power over FOODS!!!) without much suffering (which I know it's going to fail badly!!!)

Using Clio twisturn liner - so loving it.. smudge proof, waterproof, look glossy and shiny on the lids!

Enjoy using the Philosophy Take Shelter Sunblock... although it might result in some minor flaky affair when I using this sunblock with "gel" texture moisturizer (in this case the Origins Make a Differemce Plus+ Rejuvenating treatment)

Back in October (Yes.. I know... sooooo late.... this should be "Look of the day in previous month"! lolx), I wore this look to my cousin wedding dinner.

And I wore a pair of half false lashes from Shu uemura (It's sooooo much easiler to put on half lashes then full lashes!!!!)

Me love how pretty the glow Lancome Moonlight Rose Blush/highlighter look on my cheeks!!!

Mix Lancome Ombre Hypnose mono eyeshadow in Erika F and the light grey in the Lancome travel set...

I'll update on the brand/name of each products soon...

{LOTD} Maybelline HyperCosmos duo eyeshadow in WN-1

By everbluec · October 29, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

Another LOTD (eye makeup) created using the Maybelline HyperCosmos duo eyeshadow..

I find them very easy to use and both shades works really well with each others. Oh and when both shades mixed together, it become another shade!! (So I got 3 shades in this duo eyeshadow ^_^)

Swatches....

The color placement is the same as what I always do... nothing too fancy or wild... just a simple layering and smoked it out (Just blend blend blend ^_^)

The brownish gold on the lid... Plum on the outer corner and blend into my lash line (mix both shade together and apply+blend into my crease)... use a skinshade eyeshadow or pressed foundation/powder under the brows(clean-up+highlight the area)

Apply the plum on lower outer lash line and brownish gold on the inner lash line. (That's all ^_^ )

Do keep in mind that the Goldish brown shade on the right was super glittery (fall out alert!!!)

Maybelline HyperCosmos duo eyeshadow in CH-1 [LOTD]

By everbluec · October 23, 2012 · 2 Comments ·

Created my everyday casual style of eye's makeup with Maybelline HyperCosmo Duo baked eyeshadow in CH-1.

Check out the swatches on all the 7 HyperCosmos Duo Eyeshadows >> HERE <<

A beautiful combination of pale gold and blue/olive tone emerald green shades.
Both are super glittery (fall-out alert)

Using the pale gold on the inner corner of the eye lid and up towards my crease (slighly above my double eyelid fold) and the emerald on the outer lids and blend blend blend.

Apply a skintone shade eyeshadow (I just grab any nearby - and in this LOTD, I'm using Shu uemura M813 under my brows.)

I didn't use any foundation in this look... Nowadays, my skintone look so much more even... except that my outer cheeks still look abit reddish (I already give up on that and accept the fact that I have reddish uneven cheeks!!! lolx)

I used white corrector to brighten up my face (I only apply it on my inner check, nose bright/Tzone) .... since I didn't apply any foundation.. my face is abit darker and warmer then my whole body, especially my neck (I need to brighten up my face so that I won't look like I suntanned my face ONLY)

Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting primer gives me the naturally dewy glow on the skin which I like  :)

With super bright day lighting... skin always look so flawless and nice on camera!!! (My skin doesn't look soooo smooth IRL and upclose!!!)

Products used::
The Faceshop Natural Sun SPF50+ PA+++
Estee Lauder Illuminating Perfecting primer
Murad SKin Perfecting Primer for blemish and shine control

A LOTD for my Cousin School Celebration at the Zoo

By everbluec · October 8, 2012 · 0 Comments ·

Went to the Zoo with my little aunt and my cousin last month (he's 11 yrs old and about 168cm!!!!! SO TALLLLLLLLL for his age) ... and I test out the vmv hypoallergenics Skin Savvy SPF 60 Liquid Foundation... It's hold up pretty well on humid weather (raining in the morning and super HOT sun in the afternoon till evening!)

Lancome Ombre Hypnose mono eyeshadow in Erika F is sure a pretty shimmery/glittery color!!!!

[Top taken with flash] [Bottem taken without flash - daylighting]

Products used::

  • Enavose Invisible Sunbrella UV Mist SPF45
  • vmv hypoallergenics Skin Savvy SPF 60 Liquid Foundation
  • Coastal scent liquid corrector in white (mix abit into the foundation to lighten/brighten up abit)
  • Lavshuca Pink Cheek (2012 Spring Limited collection)
  • Make Up For Ever Eye Prime
  • Lancome Ombre Hypnose mono eyeshadow in Erika F(I202)
  • K-palette 1 day Tattoo liquid brow liner in shade 1
  • Kate brows mascara
  • Bonavoce volume mascara
  • Bandai The Rose of Versailles Princess Antoinette Liquid Eyeliner in Dark Brown
  • Lancome Rouge In Love in 243M

(Products in blue font were provided by the company for consideration)

I have been trying out vmv hypoallergenics Skin Savvy SPF 60 Liquid Foundation for afew weeks now ....  It has a high medium coverage with semi matte finishing.  I do not feel that I need to set the foundation with a loose/pressed powder, so I didn't use any loose powder when I use this foundation.

The foundation feel nice on the skin, thought it might feel abit drying on dry skin (Suitable for all skin type - but I believe that combination to oily skin will love the texture)

On this LOTD... My skin was kinda normal (not drying nor oily) and the foundation last for 9hrs without any touching up.

KATE Mineral Liquid Foundation [Review]

By everbluec · July 24, 2012 · 3 Comments ·

Few months ago, I won this Liquid foundation thru Cosmopolitan Singapore Facebook page giveaway. (They ran a series of products giveaway from various brands almost everyday back in March). I won the KATE Mineral Liquid foundation in shade OC-C (this is the common shade)

I can't find the ingredients list in english for this product.

Swatches in various lighting...
This shade OC-C was like about 1 to 2 shades darker then my usual foundation shade... but on my face, it wasn't that dark (just made me look abit warm).

For your info:::
My face is way darker then my whole body... so I need a brighter foundation to even out everything. I have KATE Lasting cover liquid foundation in BR-C.. the shade match me really well!

Here's the side by side comparison of the shades.

Half face... on strong day lighting, the shade doesn't look soo obvious.. but it does cover and even out all the uneven complexion.

When the foundation set.. my face does look abit warm (tired).
(it's not the foundation fault, I just need the "right" shade- lolx)

Anyway, put the shade aside... and focus on how I feel about the foundation after using it for a couple of weeks.

  • The foundation shade is buildable from sheer to light medium coverage
  • Foundation feel pretty moist/watery, easy to spread around the face.
  • Feels like a bbcream texture
  • Doesn't feel too heavy nor cakey on the skin
  • Pretty Lightweight
  • Last a good 5-8hrs depend on the weather conditions. (If I stay indoor- it can last up to 8hrs)
  • Doesn't cause any irritation
  • Doesn't cause any break-out during the time I use this foundation.
  • it has a semi matte finishing
  • oil control was pretty average

Side note:
My skin has become more and more better... skin doesn't feel dry nor tight
(but do look abit dry after applying foundation)
I'm back to mild oily combination skin ^__^
My nose and forehead will start to (shine) after afew hours...

I dont look much different under bright day lighting.

[Taken with flash] With flash can see the shade look warm on me...

SKINFOOD Good Afternoon Rose lemon Tea BB SPF 20 PA+ [Review]

By everbluec · July 9, 2012 · 5 Comments ·

SKINFOOD Good Afternoon Rose lemon Tea BB is a hydrating and fitting BB cream that helps maintain a soft, supply complexion throughout the day.  Contains revitalizing rose and hydrating lemon.

:

Finally after using this bbcream on and off for the pass 4 months... I'm going to roll out all the reviews of the 5 Good afternoon bb (One per entry) ...  I received back in March 2012. (I'm abit slow - so bare with me, K?)

:

:

The texture of this bbcream feel abit "dry"  - It's kinda rare to find this type of texture in base(or skincares) product that was meant for "dry" skin. And not forgetting that this bbcream has a higher oil content as compare to the other 4 in the Good Afternoon BB range.

This doesn't feel moist, oily, thick nor sticky.. not the typical bbcream type of texture.

When I squeeze out the bbcream, the shade is the darker amoung the rest of the Good Afternoon bb in shade #01 - but when I spread out the cream .... (how should I explain?!?!) The cream kinda burst and melt into a lighter shade(which is more towards my skin shade). It's blend and melt into my skin nicely without feeling greasy, sticky or wet.

:

:

My bare face (after sunplay cool sunblock, stila and Murad primer)
(Click to enlarge! Dont wanna scare anyone with my "nude" face)

Half face...
[Click on the image to enlarge]

The bbcream have a soft matte finish.. it doesn't feel oily nor sticky.

With loose powder, blush and eye makeup

So here's my thoughts on how I feel about the SkinFood Good Afternoon Rose lemon Tea BB SPF 20 PA+

Before I start, I need to let y'all know my skin condition. My skin have become so much better now.. not as dry and tight as compare to months ago. And my skin feel more like a normal to dry combination now.

  • Doesn't feel too heavy on the skin (lightweight texture)
  • Doesn't feel oily, sticky nor moist on the face
  • Very hydrating
  • Feel soothing on the skin
  • Doesn't cause any skin irritation
  • No breaking out
  • medium light coverage
  • even out complexion
  • The bbcream blend and melted into my skin nicely.
  • After the bbcream set, it kinda melt into my skin shade.
  • semi matte powdery finishing (can skip setting the bbcream cos it doesn't feel "wet" on the skin)
  • Doesn't look cakey after afew hours of wearing
  • I still look fresh and nice after 6hrs
  • Have a really really nice scent - smell like a yummy rose lemon tea!

Products used...

On base makeup...

  • Sunplay watery Cool SPF65 PA+++ sunblock

  • SKINGFOOD Red Orange sun powder
  • Maiko-Han blushes in Benisakura (Pink) (swatches)
  • SKINFOOD Red Orange makeup finish (Matte type)
